Turns out when Penn State played USC for the Rose Bowl on New Years Day, there was one person missing from the PSU sidelines...being the Penn State mascot, "Nittany Lion".
Traditionally, the mascot gets lots of airtime on TV during Penn State football games, but for those of you who watched USC's drubbing of Penn State in the Rose Bowl on New Years Day, one may have noticed the Nittany Lion absent from the game. Turns out the Nittany Lion never made the trip to Pasadena in the first place after getting a DWI.
